
MSgt Albert M. DeSarro Jr.
Master Sergeant Albert M. DeSarro Jr., is the Aero-Space Science Instructor (ASI), Air Force JROTC, Unit OH-942, Buchtel Community Learning Center, Akron, Ohio. The program's primary mission is to develop citizens of character dedicated to serving their nation and the local community. Secondly, to train high school cadets in citizenship, promote community service, instill responsibility, character and self-discipline, and provide instruction in air and space fundamentals.
MSgt DeSarro was born on 12 Nov 1971 in East Liverpool, Ohio. He graduated from Beaver Local High School in Lisbon, Ohio in 1990 and entered the active duty United States Air Force on 14 Sept 1990. His background includes duties in the career fields of Logistics Readiness, Transportation, Military Drill and Ceremonies, Training and Education, and he has been recognized as a Master Military Training Instructor, placing him in the top 10% of all USAF Training Instructors. His stateside assignments while in the Air Force include bases in Arkansas, North Carolina, Delaware, Colorado, and Texas.
MSgt DeSarro also served overseas in the Republic of South Korea, the U.S. Territory of Guam, and Kadena Air Base, Okinawa, Japan. He has also deployed in support of Operation Desert Shield, Al Kharj Air Base, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Before assuming his current position, MSgt DeSarro was the Section 1 Supervisor, 321st Training Squadron, Lackland Air Force Base, Texas.
